Get Pumped With Ian-Oatmeal Crusted Chicken

Oatmeal Crusted Chicken

Ingredients:

2 8-oz. chicken breasts

1/4 cup oatmeal

1 tbsp. garlic powder

1 tbsp. dry of fresh parsley

1 tbsp. salt

1/2 egg white

Cooking spray

Instructions:

Preheat the grill to approximately 400 degrees F. Coat the grill lightly with cooking spray. In a bowl, combine the egg white with garlic powder, parsley and salt. Mix well and coat the chicken evenly with this mixture. Pour 1/4 cup oatmeal evenly onto a plate and coat the chicken all over. Place the coated chicken onto the grill and cook for eight minutes, flipping halfway through or once the meat temperature reaches approximately 180 degrees F. Serve on a platter with your favorite side.

Nutrient Breakdown: 463 calories, 76 g protein, 14 g carbs, 9 g fat & 3 g saturated fat.

My take is that this recipe was very good but I’d alter a few things. Use boneless chicken breasts because it cooks quicker. I’d put mixture in bag and whip the egg white to dunk the chicken into. If you don’t have a BBQ then, try the oven for about 20-30 mins or depending on your oven. My side that would be good with this is any type of salad, sweet or baked potato, steamed veggies or anything you want.
