Get Pumped with Ian- Phil Heath Raises the Bar

It took 3 years to get Phil Heath to the Olympia and boy, did he make an impact. Phil “The Gift” showed the world why he is the gift to bodybuilding. No pun intended. Placing in the Top 3 for a rookie is impressive especially at the Olympia. He had a great year winning the Iron Man and being in second place to the new Mr. Olympia, Dexter Jackson. He’s only 28 years old and his future is going to soaring through the roof.

He snuck into the Top 3 while 3 of the top athletes were out of this lineup due to injuries, especially last year’s runner-up, Victor Martinez. Phil also beat out Kai Greene and Branch Warren at this year Arnold Classic. It would have been a more competitive show if Kai and Branch were at the Olympia. Victor, Kai, and branch will always have next year.

My take on Phil Heath is that he’s a freight train coming for Dexter Jackson. Phil is an animal and he can smell the Sandow & the Arnold Classic championship. If he wins the Olympia, he will run the Olympia for the next 5-10 years. He has the package that many people want: fullness with conditioning and great symmetry. He’ll be the Arnold Classic Champion & Mr. Olympia very soon within the next 3 years. Maybe they should call Phil Heath the future!
