MBody Announces Kettlebell Competition
In an event to test the stamina, endurance and strength, a kettlebell competition was announced to succeed the first Suburban Warrior Challenge kettlebell fitness competition set for March 28. The Suburban Warrior Challenge II competition will feature a longer hike, more kettlebell exercises, and a more challenging trail than the first.
The Suburban Warrior Challenge II competition will be held in Fullerton, California, located in North Orange County. Competitors will do a 2.8-mile hike along the Panorama Trail, starting and ending at the Summit House on the corner of Bastanchury and State College. Men will carry a 60lb pack and an 18lb kettlebell. Women will carry a 25lb pack and a 9lb kettlebell.
At the mid-point of the trail, competitors will need to complete 100 kettlebell snatches, men with a 53lb kettlebell and women with an 18lb kettlebell. Near the end of the trail, they will need to complete 100 clean and presses with the same weight before sprinting to the finish line.
After everyone was finished competing, the winners were determined and awarded their prizes. The winner of the men’s competition will receive a 53lb Apollo Kettlebell; the winner of the women’s competition will receive an 18lb Apollo Kettlebell. In the last Suburban Warrior Challenge, Derek Fay won the men’s competition with a time of 41 minutes, 51 seconds. Noel Tolentino won the women’s competition with a time of 37 minutes, 11 seconds.
Each of the kettlebell competition participants will use the new MBody KettleBack™ kettlebell backpack to carry their kettlebell during the Suburban Warrior Challenge II fitness competition.
