Steroid Use Damages Kidneys
Steroids is often associated with bodybuilding and athletics, something that can be a benefit at first but can render some problems later on. And apparently, they do have certain side effects and one of them happens to be concerned with kidneys. People who use steroids may develop protein leakage into the urine and experience sever reductions in the kidney functions. This in turn would lead to a condition called focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, a type of scarring within the kidneys. This disease typically occurs when the kidneys are overworked.
The study was made at the Columbia University Medical Center. Well hopefully this should put a stop or serve as a warning to athletes and bodybuilders who have been using anabolic steroids.
