Watch out for the Colas!
Let it be known that colas have their share of affecting the human body. In fact, if you are a bodybuilder who is quite particular about your muscles, it would be best to find alternative drinks if you value those bulges. While this does not really mean you have to totally ignore drinking colas since at times you may not have choice, the proper amount of consuming them has to be done.
“Evidence is increasing to suggest that excessive cola consumption can also lead to hypokalaemia, in which the blood potassium levels fall, causing an adverse effect on vital muscle functions, said lead researcher Dr. Moses Elisaf of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Ioannina, Greece.
Drinking softdrinks or colas are fine as long as you know your limits. They may be addictive but just the same, pure tap water is still the best thing to drink and good for your body. So as far as bodybuilders are concerned, don’t be surprised why a lot of them prefer juice or better yet plain water. Colas simply carry something that may become overly hazardous to the human anatomy.
